Welcome to Group 4!
Sharon and I would like to welcome you to the Next Step Half Marathon/Marathon Program. We are excited to be able to work with you to improve your running and reach your running goals. Our first class meets tomorrow at 6:30. Class starts promptly no matter what the traffic so plan on getting there 5 minutes early. We will meet rain or shine each week, but will cancel for thunderstorms.
After introductions, we will start running. Our Tuesdays together will be a hard workout, its goal is to make you a stronger and faster runner. Our first class it will be an unstructured run…a few hills and surprises. It will be cooler tomorrow than last week, but still bring some water if possible. Plan on carrying it because there won’t be a place to set it down.
During the run, be prepared to talk briefly about your goals, running history, and expectations for the Next Step class. Our goals for this first class is to get to know you and for you to get to know us. Please let us know privately of any injuries (e.g. plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis) or health problems (e.g. asthma) that may affect your running and we will do our best to work around them.
